O’Hara student designs inspirational painting for nursing home memory unit


A Dorseyville center schooler is providing again to a community senior centre in memory of her great-grandmother.

Ella Golomb, 12, of O’Hara developed a beneficial portray undertaking as her expected charitable challenge for her future Bat Mitzvah.

Golomb is a congregant at Adat Shalom synagogue in Cheswick and social action assignments, typically referred to as ‘mitzvah projects’ are necessary there.

Doing work with her friends from Dorseyville Center Faculty, Golomb built a portray that will be set up and focused to the Memory Unit at Harmony Nursing Dwelling in honor of her good-grandmother Goldie Rofey.

Goldie lived in Squirrel Hill and was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and lived with the ailment for a decade in advance of her death in 2001.
